WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED:

1. THE TRADE

• Two sovereign nations settled a trade this morning without using the dollar. Not as a test. As a transaction. The goods moved. The payment cleared. The dollar was not involved

• The settlement took 3.1 seconds. The old system would have taken three days. The new system did not need the old system at all

• The nations are not named in the notice. The fact that it happened is named. The fact that it will happen again is implied

2. WHY THIS MATTERS

• The dollar’s role as the world’s reserve currency was built on one thing: every trade had to pass through it. That requirement is now optional. Optional is worse than banned

• The BRICS rails are connected to the ISO 20022 framework. The ISO 20022 framework is connected to the QFS. The QFS is connected to the Rainbow Units. The chain is complete

• The dollar is still used for domestic trade in the United States. For now. The international role is what ended this morning

3. WHAT REPLACES IT
