MITRE JUST GOT PUBLICLY CALLED OUT ON A DECADES-OLD ATLANTIC USO
On August 16, 2026, researcher UAPGERB tagged MITREcorp directly, asking if they have answered Rep. Eric Burlison’s May 22, 2026 interrogatory on UAP records.
He linked his full August 7 investigation video detailing claims of a hidden Special Security Office in McLean, VA, that for years has tracked an enormous undersea object off the Bahamas, internally nicknamed the “tic-tac factory.”
Sensor data, analytic reports, and audiovisual files on this object and its subordinate transmedium craft are alleged to sit inside Navy-linked programs that MITRE has supported since its 1958 founding.
If those files show non human platforms deploying high performance craft from a permanent deep ocean station, the NHI implications write themselves.
Will the records finally surface or stay locked behind the FFRDC wall?
100 FOOT BLACK TRIANGLE STILL CLASSIFIED OVER COLORADO BASE
On August 15, 2026, Department of War officials confirmed they are actively investigating two cellphone videos recorded by a service member on successive nights in 2023.
The footage, held by Air Force Office of Special Investigations under file numbers IRR1669S015524 and IRR1669S005024, allegedly shows a roughly 100 foot triangular craft flying over mountains near a Colorado military installation and blending into clouds.

Acting Press Secretary Joel Valdez stated the department will release whatever it finds through the PURSUE system.
If the object matches the silent, large scale triangles reported by military personnel for decades, the performance characteristics raise direct questions about propulsion beyond known human technology.
How long can sensor and witness data like this stay locked while the public release pipeline keeps moving?
EU DEFENSE ADMITS IT TRACKS UAP
Euronews reveals a European Commission defence department letter confirming the EU has monitored unidentified aerial phenomena since at least 2023.
The letter states they are “getting better at seeing it… and better identifying it as our technological capacities improve, but we need to get even better.”
The admission came in response to 37 sky/space images sent by Malaysian amateur astronomers in 2022. Brussels now wants member states to boost detection of objects in near-Earth space specifically to help identify more of these events.
If Europe’s own defence apparatus is quietly improving its ability to detect and classify UAP while still calling the topic a national responsibility, what exactly are they starting to resolve that remains unexplained?

THEY STOPPED CALLING THEM ALIENS FOR A REASON
In July 2023 David Grusch testified under oath about recovered craft and biologics of non-human origin. He deliberately used “non human intelligence.”
By 2024 the term was written into draft UAP Disclosure Act language. Congress defined NHI as “any sentient intelligent non-human lifeform regardless of nature or ultimate origin.”
That definition is still in the 2026 versions of the bill and in the records collection mandates for technologies of unknown origin.
“Alien” and “extraterrestrial” lock the conversation to visitors from other stars. NHI keeps every option open: interdimensional, cryptoterrestrial, ultraterrestrial, or something that has been here longer than we have.
Official language shifted because the data and the whistleblowers forced it. The government is not softening the claim. It is widening the frame.

July 31 presidential memorandum (public Aug 8) ordered ODNI to name a PURSUE designee inside every intelligence element within 30 days.
That window closes between August 29 and September 7.
At the same time the NDA language that previously blocked witnesses from reporting UAP information to the President or designated channels was voided.
The stable 28 day PURSUE release cadence puts the next public tranche (Release 06) right in the same early September window.
Process is moving. Protected pathways are opening. Higher fidelity reporting is now structurally possible.
