1_ Does God have or need a soul? The second person of the Holy Trinity, Jesus Christ has a soul. “Because Jesus possesses fully the nature of a man, He has a human body and soul. Furthermore, His human soul, like ours, has intellect and will. (He is like man in all things but sin).”

2_ Does man share the same soul as God? No. “Each human soul is individual and immortal, immediately created by God. The soul does not die with the body, from which it is separated by death, and with which it will be reunited in the final resurrection.”

3_ Sins of man tarnish his soul and require cleansing. The soul of Jesus Christ is without sin, totally unblemished and exceedingly radiant. Upon death, each man’s soul is either in Heaven, Purgatory or Hell. No, man does not share the same soul as another man, nor of God.
