President Trump, heeding the wishes of his base, has announced that neocons Nikki Haley and Mike Pompeo won’t be part of his administration, effectively putting an end to both of their political careers.
Earlier this year, Trump acknowledged that his first administration was filled with “bad people” and is determined not to repeat those choices.
“I picked people that, in retrospect, I wouldn’t have picked. Now I know the smart ones, the dumb ones, the weak ones, the solid ones.”
