𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙁𝙖𝙘𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙮: 𝘿𝙤 𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝘼𝙡𝙡 𝙍𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙋𝙨𝙮𝙤𝙥 𝙄𝙣 𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙁𝙞𝙡𝙢?

The filmmakers of “The Faculty” effectively used several psychological techniques to misdirect the audience.

The character Marybeth Louise Hutchinson caught everyone off guard.

• Stereotyping: They played on viewers’ tendency to categorize characters, presenting Marybeth as a seemingly innocent “new girl.” We are still doing this today. This is why certain figures can present an image to us without arousing any suspicions.

• Familiarity Bias: As viewers got comfortable with Marybeth’s character, they were less likely to suspect her. Who did people get comfortable with in the Q-Drops just because they were mentioned a lot of times? Which means they are basically Casey Connor character in the film.

• Confirmation Bias: Any slight oddities in Marybeth’s behavior were likely dismissed as viewers had already categorized her as non-threatening. Most people have not gotten over this mental challenge. Things have to be obvious for them. Which is why they were the ones at the end of the film stuck fighting the creature alone. (Dark Night of the soul).

• Surprise Factor: The reveal challenged viewers’ assumptions, creating a memorable twist. This is where the cognitive dissonance in the film reached fever pitch. When Marybeth L. Hutchinson character turned into that monstrosity nobody seen it coming until the last minute.

• Narrative Misdirection: The story structure intentionally guided viewers away from suspecting Marybeth. You can basically look at the “Reawaken America Tour” that portrayed certain people as Patriots on the frontline fighting on your behalf. It was created for hero worship.

Think about how people are still fooled until this day. Marybeth actively helped the main characters, reinforcing her apparent trustworthiness. She gave them a image they could confide in. Curating a social dependence on her soft spoken persona.

Our trust in her was instilled in the very beginning. Because The narrative emphasized suspicious behavior from other characters, particularly faculty members. Those who we would suspect to be shady.

Which would be our Democrats today. Marybeth had a slow character integration. Her character arc showed her becoming part of the group, further cementing her perceived role as an ally.

This narrative structure exploited the audience’s tendency to trust character archetypes and follow the most obvious plot threads, effectively concealing Marybeth’s true nature until the reveal.

And this is where people become someone fighting on their backfoot. Because they are trying to reinforce the broken illusion that lead them to trust that individual in the 1st place. But it’s just ramblings of a mental breakdown.

Because these are people that told everyone else how amazing that individual was. And now they feel responsible as to why those people could potentially blame them for misleading them to trust someone who was found to be the most dangerous individual.

This is why their minds cling onto all the innocent imagery of said individual trying to make sense as to how they were fooled and how that one person was able to see through everything. Because the individual who warned them is nowhere to be found. They are completely out of harms way.

Also what really sold the character Marybeth Louise Hutchinson to us as this innocent person was that she was among the students in their 1st dangerous encounter with one of the alien teachers played by John Stewart when they were in the classroom.

All the while she was the reason the entire ordeal was happening in the 1st place. Which is what we are dealing with now when it came to Donald Trump 1st assassination attempt.

The people orchestrating it will act as just surprised or caught off guard as to how or when it would happen. They will be the ones offering you a shoulder to cry on and encouraging you that everything will be fine. And you will be completely under their control at that point.

Why do you think we still have people who we still see as good guys today even though they help cover-up 9/11? They were with us in shock. They were with us in mourning. And they were with us when everything was being rebuilt. All the while they helped orchestrate the entire thing. Do you all see what I am trying to get at here?
