some days ago the southern german city of Reutlingen was hit by a local (only the city was hit) hailstorm.

the hail came down in up to 30 height so that the winter-machines had to be pulled out and do their work.
the interesting thing now is this:
locals report, that even at 24 degrees centigrade (which is quite nicely warm) these ice-corns wont melt.
eve 24 hours after the hailstorm still all over in the city there were mountains of hail.
aaaaannd….: even a cigarette-ligther-flame could NOT MELT THEM
