If people would go to Ex 20 and read the first Commandment 20:1,2 what God really wants and God tells us plainly, is that He is God, He brought us out of the land of Egypt (symbolizing sin) the house of slavery to s---n! And that we are to have “NO other gods before God”. In other words put away all the s-----c evil stuff and serve only the true God! In truth! Pagan peoples w the roshi fake gods. We aren’t supposed to keep their traditions. We are to actually revere the real God.
Besides, He is so awesome, nothing can do Him justice!
Next comes the second Commandment verses 4 through 6.
This second Commandment is very important to God regarding making carved images and worshiping them.
Only the 4th Commandment is a bit longer. And it says we are supposed to positively do keep and honor the day God created for us to celebrate creation together with God because God made it for that purpose, to rest and learn about who God is! It is on–the Seventh Day and is a Sabbath rest and eant to be an eternal memorial to God and His Creation!
But now read again the 2nd Commandment. It’s an order from God!
We are not to make a carved image of ANYTHING in heaven, on earth, under the water under earth. We are not to BOW DOWN to them, serve, or worship them because God says He is a very jealous God and our sins go down to our descendants to the 3rd and 4th generations! Is that what you want? Curses to be passed down to your descendants?

When we wear or display any such images, crucifixes, pictures of Jesus (no one knows what He looked like, but any coin of His day showed men, the Caesar had cropped or short hair. It was during the Rennaissance when men wore long hair like hippys of the 60’s that artists made art for cathedrals and churches and carvings of Jesus to look like them! They didnt know what He looked like. One such famous artist made Jesus look like his same s-x partner! Is that who you want to worship?), crucifixes pictures the cross Jesus was k----d on! God hates that!
Also we must not put pictures of Him framed on our wall, printed on t shirts, or any symbol or such images–they are not to be displayed, worn, tattooed, printed, carved, or molded are not to be seen on or near us! God wants our love and to keep us away from such images and to obey His every Commandment!
This is a proof to God that we obey and respect His Commands and are obedient to only Him and not worshipping false gods.
Worship of God is supposed to be in thought, action, and TRUTH. It is not some emotional romanticism “about” Him. HE IS REAL AND WE ARE TO WORSHIP AND OBEY ONLY HIM. Not His image.
No one could ever do it justice.
One day we will see Him as He is.
Be patient and obey what He commanded. He doesn’t find disobedience cute or pretty.
