If God truly gives all to all, then all goes exactly as he has planned. Since all his plans involve infinite love, wisdom, and infallibility, we may serenely concern ourselves with what he is giving us to do, and worry not one whit about what he may be giving someone else to do. If he happens to give us a job to administer help, correction, justice, whatever, it will happen without fail and exactly as God has planned, that all may learn and be brought to maturity in life and immortality.
The lake of fire, the second death, will cease to operate when it has fulfilled its purpose. Let us not think that God will leave one creature there eternally. The notion of eternal punishment comes partly through faulty Bible translation and partly through blindness, but not apart from God’s creation and operation of both good and evil. The true God, the Creator of all, is good, but he is not in a battle with evil. He is using evil for a good plan which is proceeding moment by moment on a perfect schedule without fail and without one speck of energy out of place.
