THE UNITED STATES CANNOT AFFORD TO IGNORE A POSSIBLE ATTACK ON ITS ELECTION INFRASTRUCTURE

The National Security Argument for a Comprehensive Federal Forensic Investigation

Be it Resolved: When credible evidence raises the possibility that foreign adversaries financed, coordinated, infiltrated, or compromised American election infrastructure, the United States has a national-security obligation to investigate the full extent of the suspected operation.

Americans, consider one fundamental question:

If a foreign adversary penetrated the systems through which Americans exercise their sovereign right to govern themselves, would we recognize that intrusion as an attack on our nation?

If a foreign intelligence service penetrated the Pentagon’s command systems, we would investigate.

If foreign operatives compromised the Treasury’s financial infrastructure, we would investigate.

If an adversarial government secretly financed, infiltrated, or manipulated the machinery through which Americans choose their representatives, why would our investigative standard be any less demanding?

The ballot is not merely a piece of paper. It is the instrument through which the people delegate governmental authority.

An attack against the integrity of that instrument is an attack against the constitutional process and sovereignty of our republic itself.

I. The National Security Threshold

America does not wait for a bridge to collapse before investigating credible evidence that explosives have been planted beneath it.

Nor should America require proof that an election outcome changed before investigating credible evidence of unauthorized foreign access to election infrastructure.

The investigative threshold is reasonable suspicion supported by articulable evidence – not a completed criminal conviction.

Foreign financing, clandestine coordination, compromised voting equipment, manipulated ballot interpretation, unauthorized network access, and concealed relationships among election contractors would each justify appropriate investigation when supported by credible evidence.

Together, if connected through authenticated evidence, they could establish a coordinated operation directed against American constitutional governance.

II. Follow the Money. Follow the Access. Follow the Evidence.

A comprehensive investigation must answer five questions:

WHO FINANCED IT? Trace potentially unlawful funding through foreign entities, intermediaries, shell companies, contractors, and domestic recipients.

WHO COORDINATED IT? Establish whether foreign intelligence services, political organizations, technology providers, or domestic accomplices communicated or acted in concert.

WHO ACCESSED IT? Examine authenticated system logs, vendor permissions, software changes, equipment custody, and unauthorized access.

WHAT WAS ALTERED? Independently compare voter eligibility records, paper ballots, QR-code interpretations, cast-vote records, tabulations, and certified results.

WHO CONCEALED IT? Investigate evidence of deliberate falsification, obstruction, destruction of records, or coordinated deception.

These are not conclusions of guilt.

They are the questions a sovereign republic must be willing to answer.

III. The Constitutional Stakes

The United States Constitution establishes a government whose authority derives from the people.

If an adversarial foreign power deliberately subverted the mechanisms through which that authority is delegated, the consequences could extend far beyond ordinary election misconduct.

Such an operation could constitute espionage, cybercrime, unlawful foreign interference, or a broader hostile intelligence campaign.

Depending on its scale, effects, attribution, and legal circumstances, it could raise questions of national defense and hostile state action.

If investigators establish criminal corruption, prosecute the responsible parties under law.
