Trump’s DOJ charges 16 in ELECTION FRAUD SWEEP as total reaches 104 ahead of midterms, with 64 arrests just in the last 5 weeks.
Noncitizens were charged by federal prosecutors from 11 federal districts in Pennsylvania, Alabama, New Mexico, Missouri, Idaho, New Jersey, Ohio, Kentucky, and Hawaii.
The bulk of these new charges targeted lawful permanent resident and undocumented migrants from Pakistan, Peru, France, Cuba, Canada, Jamaica, the United Kingdom, the Philippines, Poland, and the Dominican Republic.
A variety of different election related crimes were charged against individuals, including casting a dead spouse’s absentee ballot to voting as a noncitizen across multiple election cycles while falsely claiming U.S. citizenship on federal forms.
One Missouri Cuban national voted in at least 15 different elections over 2 decades, 13 of them federal elections without ever holding U.S. citizenship.
The penalties they face differ, with voting as an alien in a federal election carries a maximum of one year in federal prison, while falsely claiming U.S. citizenship on government forms can draw up to 5 years in prison.
