Most Americans have never read the U.S. Army’s Unconventional Warfare Pocket Guide.
Maybe we should.
Not to fear what’s happening—but to better understand how profound change can actually unfold.
The fascinating part?
Modern conflict isn’t necessarily armies, tanks and bombs.
It can involve information, economics, technology, communications, legitimacy, institutions and the consent of people themselves.
And the framework doesn’t end with conflict.

It ends with TRANSITION.
So here’s the hopeful question:
What if some of the enormous disruption we’re witnessing isn’t the destination?
What if something better can emerge from it?
More transparent money.
More accountable government.
Better health.
Abundant technology.
Greater human agency.
More peaceful global commerce.
More power returned to ordinary people.
The guide does not prove today’s events are an unconventional-warfare operation.
But it gives us a fascinating framework for asking better questions:

What is changing?
Why?
Who gains authority?
Who loses it?
And does the destination produce MORE LIBERTY?
Perhaps our moment calls for less fear and tribal warfare—and much more curiosity.
Because what if America’s greatest advantage was never its ability to dominate the world…
…but its ability to demonstrate what FREE PEOPLE CAN BUILD TOGETHER?
That possibility should unite us.
