They Are Circling The Drain:
John Thune punting the Clarity Act to September is standard Swamp delay tactics. He’s buying time for the banking lobby to carve out exemptions.
Their Goal Is Simple:
Redefine “decentralized” so narrowly that it still requires a centralized issuer, keeping the fiat on-ramps and off-ramps under Cabal control. They want to water it down into a regulatory licensing framework rather than a structural financial reset.
The SEC stepping in is the ultimate catch-22 for the Cabal.
Gary Gensler’s replacement and the current enforcement division have publicly stated they will regulate digital assets under existing securities frameworks if Congress fails to act. The Cabal thought this was their escape hatch using the SEC to regulate crypto to death via enforcement actions rather than new law. But they miscalculated.
Current securities law requires absolute transparency. The Howey Test and existing reporting mandates don’t care about congressional carve-outs. If the SEC is forced to classify these assets under the Securities Act of 1933, every token, every smart contract, and every liquidity pool becomes subject to public auditing.
