Timing matters. The federal midterms are November 3, 2026 – 92 days from today, August 3.

All 435 House seats and 35 Senate seats, 470 seats in total are at stake, while the President’s party historically faces strong midterm headwinds

Republican warfare today has consequences FAR beyond personalities: this warfare can:
1) suppress turnout
2) fracture the coalition
3) transfer congressional power to Trump’s political opposition.

Why Would “They” Do This?

“They” = General Michael Flynn, his son, Ivan Raklin, Alex Jones, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Thomas Massie, and a massive, influential, loud anti-Trump blogosphere

1. Their public narrative is they believe they – not Trump – own the definition of “America First.”

Thomas Massie’s opposition is the easiest to process. He has maintained a so-called libertarian constitutional position against deficit spending, undeclared wars and concentrated executive power, even though that places him against Trump. His disagreements are politically destructive, even if substantially consistent with his established ideology

The others loudly declare their “America First” solution as strict noninterventionism, immediate institutional disclosure and permanent hostility toward nearly every established authority

When President & Commander-in-Chief 45-47 Trump exercises his presidential judgment, negotiates, compromises, withholds information or employs military power, they interpret his experience, discernment, prudence and actions as betrayal

That creates a theological-style schism:

President Trump sees leadership as navigating reality to achieve outcomes.

“They” increasingly measure loyalty through absolute conformity to their preferred doctrine.

“They” believe their ends justify their vocal division, FUD and the risk of losing the 2026 midterm elections, so “they” march forward with a “damn the torpedoes” ideology with the fate of the free world in the balance.

2. Their relevance now depends upon being more outraged than Trump’s own supporters.

Alex Jones and much of the alternative-media ecosystem operate within an attention market. Once Trump became president again, supporting him became less commercially distinctive. Attacking him creates novelty, controversy, clips, engagement, subscriptions and renewed personal centrality.

Their economic incentive is therefore inverted:

• Trump succeeding quietly diminishes their role.
• Trump allegedly betraying the movement makes them indispensable interpreters.
• Permanent crisis preserves permanent audience dependency.

“Follow the money.”

This does not prove every criticism is insincere. It means anger and revenue can become mutually reinforcing until the influencer can no longer distinguish discernment from performance.

3. Personal rejection has hardened into political vengeance.

Trump publicly broke with Greene, withdrew his support, encouraged opposition to Massie and characterized prominent dissenting influencers as grifters and “blackpillers.” Greene subsequently resigned from Congress and later announced that she was abandoning the Republican Party alongside Tucker Carlson. Their disputes involved foreign policy, domestic priorities and the Epstein-file controversy.

Once political disagreement becomes public humiliation, the motive often changes. The question ceases to be: “What best advances the movement?”

It becomes: “How do I prove that the leader who rejected me is illegitimate?”

Pride then disguises retaliation as principle.

4. Flynn-world influence may be competing for succession and ownership of the movement.

General Flynn possesses military credentials, a loyal audience and symbolic standing derived partly from what he endured during Trump’s first term. But a movement organized around Trump leaves little room for another commanding personality.

As President Trump approaches the latter half of his final constitutional term, every major MAGA personality must decide whether to remain subordinate, retire from prominence or build an independent post-Trump power center. Aligning alienated influencers, noninterventionists, institutional skeptics and former Trump loyalists could create the nucleus of a successor faction.

That does not require a formal conspiracy. Shared ambition naturally produces coordination.

5. “They” may sincerely believe defeating or disciplining President Trump is necessary to “save” the movement.

This is the most charitable interpretation. They may state they believe President Trump has departed from campaign promises so dramatically that losing Congress – or threatening him with that loss – is preferable to allowing the movement to become indistinguishable from the establishment it opposes.

But even sincere conviction can become profoundly unwise. Destroying the only governing coalition capable of implementing most of one’s agenda because it failed to implement all of it is political absolutism, not strategic wisdom.

The deeper spiritual pattern

The oldest temptation in any liberation movement is not merely corruption by the enemy. It is division among those who once fought together.

The pattern is recognizable:

• A common enemy produces unity.
• Victory reduces the external threat.
• Ego begins competing for ownership of the victory.
• Differences become accusations of betrayal.
• Former allies reserve their greatest fury for one another.
• The displaced establishment regains power without defeating the movement directly.

From a divine-discernment perspective, the central question is not whether every Trump decision is correct. No human leader is beyond examination. The question is whether correction is being pursued through truth, proportion, humility and constructive purpose – or through rage, humiliation, absolutism and destruction.

We judge the tree by its’ fruit.

If their alliance produces greater truth, constitutional fidelity, peaceful accountability and electoral strength, it may be principled dissent.

If it produces hatred, confusion, personal exaltation, indiscriminate distrust, voter paralysis and the restoration of forces they claim to oppose, then regardless of the participants’ stated intentions, the functional fruit is sabotage.

In Brief

My deepest assessment is that this coalition is a mixture of policy disagreement, wounded pride, commercial outrage, succession ambition and spiritual deception. They need not consciously be “working for” Trump’s enemies to become extraordinarily useful to them.

The most dangerous infiltrator of a movement is not always a paid operative.

Sometimes it is an offended ally who becomes convinced that destroying the vessel is the only way to purify its mission.

We the People must discern wisely to self-govern freely.

What say you?
