Consciousness Leaves the Body and the Military Knew It Decades Ago
Remote viewing and out-of-body experiences aren’t separate phenomena.
They’re two faces of the same nonlocal capability.
In the early 1970s at the American Society for Psychical Research, Ingo Swann sat wired to EEG monitors while targets were placed on a high shelf above his head.
He wasn’t “imagining.” He was projecting awareness, describing objects he physically could not see. Those controlled sessions helped birth the term “remote viewing.”
The same decade, Robert Monroe was mapping deliberate out of body states in Journeys Out of the Body (1971). By the late 1970s the U.S. military was quietly sending officers to the Monroe Institute. Stargate remote viewers, including Joe McMoneagle, later trained with Monroe’s methods.
The 1983 CIA Gateway analysis went further. It treated Monroe’s Hemi-Sync techniques as a practical system for moving consciousness outside the physical body, past the normal limits of space and time.
If consciousness can leave the body and still gather accurate data, then the hard boundary between “human mind” and “non-human presence” collapses.
