David Grusch reaches out before Sean Kirkpatrick even takes the job. Briefs him. Then Kirkpatrick publicly claims Grusch “refused” to speak to AARO. Grusch says the opposite. AARO’s own records later show internal confusion over whether they were even a lawful recipient of his protected disclosures.
Meanwhile, every serious legacy program claim gets the same treatment: “No credible evidence.” “Circular reporting.” “Tall tales from a small group.”
AARO doesn’t need to recover craft or bodies.

It only needs the names, the units, the contractors, the clearances of the people who still hold the real access.
Once those identities surface through the “safe” channel, the system already knows exactly who to watch, who to isolate, and who never gets another sensitive billet.
The real legacy crash retrieval and reverse-engineering efforts were never going to report to a Pentagon office created in 2022.
They were designed to stay outside it.
So the most effective countermeasure isn’t denial.
It’s a brightly lit front door that looks like transparency… while quietly mapping every legitimate source who walks through it.
