Have you thought about how the 911 calls would be working during the Emergency Broadcast System shutdown?
I have just experienced it one way it happens as I called 911 on Friday for an emergency with the 911 operator connecting me to the proper dispatcher and then to the emergency services by using regular phone numbers.
All emergency services need the regular 7 digit phone lines to connect with each other as they cannot just call 911 to the proper entity or else are those phone numbers going to be excluded from the shutdown?
The same goes for hospitals and fire departments that need their personnel to come to work ASAP for an emergency and they need to call their personnel’s regular phone line, but it is shutdown.
Even when people know the emergency services’ direct phone line and not call 911 they could not get through.
The same goes for all the other businesses that need to call their people just for reporting on the Emergency Broadcast System. Try calling someone not to show up for work due to this shutdown and you cannot get through.
Thus, maybe this is why the Emergency Broadcast System is being postponed day after day as they cannot resolve this issue.
