What was hidden inside a declassified U.S. Army report might blow your mind…
In 1983, the U.S. military officially studied:
– Can consciousness leave the body?
– Is our entire reality nothing more than a holographic illusion?
This is not a TikTok theory and not some random YouTube rabbit hole.
It’s a real 29-page Pentagon report called “Analysis and Assessment of Gateway Process.”
The author was Lieutenant Colonel Wayne M. McDonnell, who prepared it for U.S. Army Intelligence. The report was later declassified by the CIA.
The document examines the highly secretive Gateway program developed by the Monroe Institute. Using Hemi-Sync audio technology with binaural beats, participants reportedly synchronize both hemispheres of the brain and enter deep altered states of consciousness within minutes (Focus 10, Focus 12, Focus 15, and beyond).
What the report discusses is astonishing:
– Consciousness is NOT a product of brain chemistry. It is a separate energetic entity capable of existing beyond the physical body.

– Reality itself may be a HOLOGRAM (drawing on ideas from David Bohm and Karl Pribram).
– In these states, people may experience remote viewing, out-of-body experiences, rapid self-healing, heightened intuition, and even influence future outcomes through focused intention.
The most striking passage appears on page 25 of the report: “There is a sound, rational basis in terms of physical science for considering Gateway to be plausible.”
The report further suggests that intuitive insights of personal and practical value fall within reasonable expectations.
In short: military researchers concluded that the phenomenon deserved serious consideration.
And this was published 16 years before The Matrix hit theaters.
While the world was watching science fiction, parts of the U.S. military were already exploring whether consciousness could interact with reality in ways we still don’t fully understand.
