Dear all,

Below is the list of UNTRUE or severely DISTORTED points identified in the message about the supposed approval of “frequency therapy” in Japan and its coverage in other countries.

1. Claim about Germany (since 2014)

FALSE. No evidence from German government or health insurer sources shows that PEMF therapy is covered by the statutory health system since 2014. German insurance websites explicitly state this therapy is NOT reimbursed.

2. Claim about Switzerland (since 2019)

FALSE. Coverage was not approved in the Swiss basic mandatory health system. At most, private supplemental plans might cover it, but not generally since 2019.

3. Claim about Israel (use in military rehabilitation)

FALSE. No official or scientific literature record was found of PEMF being used as a standard part of Israeli military rehabilitation. Official Israeli programs mention other technologies (AI, robotics, neurotechnology).

4. Claim about South Korea (approved in 2022 for post-surgical recovery)

UNVERIFIED / LIKELY FALSE. A review of South Korean literature on PEMF does not indicate a formal government approval in 2022 for that specific purpose.

5. Claim about the US classifying it as “experimental” and the FDA warning requirement

SERIOUS DISTORTION. The FDA has already approved PEMF devices for specific medical uses, such as bone fracture non‑union healing and musculoskeletal pain. These devices are Class II (Moderate Risk). The disclaimer “not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease” is a voluntary marketing notice, not a general FDA requirement for approved devices.

6. Claim about the 7‑year Kyoto University study with 4,200 patients

NOT FOUND. No record of this study exists in scientific databases (PubMed, etc.) or in official communications regarding the Japanese approval. What was actually approved was the Optune Lua device for a specific type of lung cancer, based on studies with approximately 276 patients.

**7. Claim about US$1.48 trillion in annual pharmaceutical revenue**

INACCURATE / OUTDATED CONTEXT. In 2025, global pharmaceutical revenue was approximately US$1.74 trillion. The cited figure is lower than the actual value.

Final note: The original message came from a Telegram channel using terminology associated with conspiracy theories (“TIER 4B – ISO 20022”, “Quantum Financial System”). Such channels often mix real facts (the approval in Japan for a specific cancer case) with misinformation to promote narratives and products.
