Trump tells us that the Iranian President has asked for a ceasefire!
It appears Pezeshkian was left alive for a reason, because Trump viewed him as a more reasonable option.
This comes after Pezeshkian told the EU they were willing to end the war.
We are getting close.
Based on the messaging coming from the Trump admin, the positive response in the markets, and the timing in the middle of the week, I have to assume tonight’s announcement is positive optics for Trump.
If it was negative, the Trump admin would not be advertising it so much, and they likely would have waited until Friday night, after the markets close.
Whatever it is, Trump and his administration want the public to see it, and they want the markets to react to it.

First Trump says we are “pretty much winding that up” in reference to Iran.
He then blasts NATO as “bad allies” and confirms that he never needed any help from NATO, he just “wanted to see what they’d do”.
My analysis was correct! Trump was testing NATO! He was using this opportunity with Iran to show the American People, and the world, who our real allies are, and it’s not NATO.
The operation in Iran is coming to a close, and Trump is setting the stage to withdraw from NATO.
Trump admin are dropping Seinfeld and The Office memes about the clear outlined objectives of Operation Epic Fury, leading up to Trump’s big announcement tonight in an hour.
They seem to be suggesting Trump and the US MIL’s objectives have been completed.
Alright, the overall message from Trump is that our objectives are accomplished, Iran’s capabilities are decimated, and we are in the final phase.

Iran can choose to make a deal quickly, or we will destroy their infrastructure, but Trump is on the way out.
Trump called on the nations of the region who use the Strait of Hormuz for oil, to send ships to secure the Strait moving forward, because we are leaving and we don’t use it. There were many indirect jabs at NATO, and a lot of praise for our Middle East allies, to which Trump named Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Kuwait, and Bahrain.
However, the biggest message Trump sent, was the comparison of this conflict to the forever wars of the past that lasted years, if not decades, compared to the 32 days of this operation.
The overall tone and signal of the address felt like an unofficial end to the operation. Trump said that this will be resolved shortly, the markets will start to recover, and oil prices will go down.
Trump is signaling that he is about to withdraw, it’s just a matter of doing so in a controlled and methodical manner.
