Ummmm how is this not bigger news?
Trump said if ICE is not enough to help with airport security, then he is going to “bring in the National Guard”.
I find that to be VERY interesting.
Military presence at transportation hubs, just like Trump did when he secured DC.
Trump doesn’t necessarily need to invoke the Insurrection Act to do this if Governors agree to cooperate, and airports may be considered defense of federal property, but my Insurrection Act senses are tingling. It sounds like Trump is setting up military presence at airports, with the World Cup just around the corner.
Then this line of thinking might translate to elections as well. ICE/US MIL at polling stations in November.
It looks like Trump is setting up a progression. I like it.
