At what point does the corruption become so vast and entrenched, that we have to impose martial law and let the Military handle this quickly via tribunals?
I think we all need to recognize that we are living through the 2nd American Civil War, and it might require some Lincoln-era governance to resolve this situation.
During the 1st Civil War, Lincoln imposed martial law and suspended the writ of habeus corpus many times, without Congressional approval, and essentially told Congress and the Supreme Court to f--k off, and he did what he needed to do in order to save the Republic from the ongoing rebellion.
Lincoln is widely considered as the greatest and most consequential President in American history. Scholars consider him greater than Washington.
Drastic times call for drastic measures.
There are quite a lot of similarities between now and the Civil War.
Trump faces many of the same obstacles that Lincoln faced.
