The NPC Conundrum: Programming A Simulated Life

I did an article on this on my other channel. So I figure I bring some up to speed on how I see this phenomenon. This is a pressing issue for some who wonder if they themselves may be an NPC.

The concept of NPCs, or Non-Player Characters, extends beyond video games into metaphysical and existential frameworks, portraying certain individuals as programmed or soulless beings lacking genuine consciousness or free will. These entities are described as operating on autopilot, following scripted behaviors without internal depth, empathy, or self-awareness. Historical echoes appear in philosophical debates on solipsism and simulation hypotheses, where only a subset of people possess true agency. Modern discussions frame them as fillers in a simulated reality, designed to maintain population density and social structures. Characteristics include vacant eyes, repetitive actions, and resistance to awakening concepts.

Purpose: They challenge real players, extract energy, or stabilize the system. God permits their existence to uphold balance, preventing overpopulation of conscious souls from overwhelming the earthly plane.

Which is a conclusion I have come to. You may see it differently. But there are other areas of interest regarding this topic.

Claims vary widely, with some sources asserting 50% of humanity fits NPC criteria, based on observed behaviors like conformity and lack of critical thinking. Higher figures suggest 60-70%, linking to studies where 60% of people report no internal monologue, implying automated thought processes.

Trucker Encounters with Robotic Towns:

Truckers report driving into unnamed Midwest U.S. towns where inhabitants move in synchronized, mechanical patterns slow, deliberate steps without eye contact or fluid gestures. One account describes a diner in rural Nevada where locals stared blankly, repeating phrases like automated responses, treating the driver with detached hostility, refusing service abruptly.

In eerie Appalachian villages, people clustered in unnatural formations, bodies rigid like mannequins, ignoring questions and emitting low hums resembling interference. I will see if I can find the link where this story was told. I think it was Tetsuya on YouTube.

Southern U.S. backroads lead to “disappearing” hamlets full of pale figures with jerky motions, offering mechanical hospitality that turns aggressive upon probing. But overseas, European truckers hit Balkan ghost towns with inhabitants frozen in poses, awakening only to mimic human norms poorly, shunning outsiders with uniform glares.

Let’s Go Deeper:

One of the most common things I have heard is this. These towns vanish from maps post-visit, suggesting dimensional glitches or NPC staging grounds for testing real players. There are many videos on YouTube talking about towns people run into on roadtrips that upon visiting again once they leave their vacation spots can no longer find it.

Technically, if reality operates on a holographic principle (as proposed in black hole physics by Gerard ‘t Hooft in 1993), these towns could represent informational redactions at the Planck scale (10^-35 meters), where spacetime curvature glitches under observer interference. These aren’t benign curiosities; they expose a engineered underlayer to consensus reality, where NPCs serve as buffers against awakening, funneling energy to parasitic controllers via induced disorientation.

I think on a 2023 YouTube account from “The Why Files” details a Nevada diner incident: Driver enters, locals stare blankly, repeating “Coffee’s hot” in unison; upon exit, town vanishes from GPS, replaced by barren desert, patterns include no cellular signal during immersion, post-event nausea mimicking electromagnetic exposure.

I also remember Reddit threads (e.g., r/Glitch_in_the_Matrix, 2022 post describe Midwest villages where houses align in fractal symmetry, inhabitants treating outsiders with algorithmic hostility bumping without apology, forming barriers; revisits yield empty fields, maps showing historical voids since 1950s surveys.
