To be clear, I still don’t think this Elon betrayal thing is real.
Elon is not an idiot. He knows Trump is the resistance to the Deep State. He knows what’s at stake.
I think Elon is making a very public stink, to create the illusion of distance, so when Tesla and his other companies start booming under Trump’s new economy and in the future, Elon can avoid any accusations of insider trading. The critics won’t be able to say Trump was helping his billionaire buddy, because they appear to be opposed to each other.
Whether anyone likes it or not, Elon is not going anywhere. His work with SpaceX is paramount to national security and US space dominance. His work with Twitter/X is paramount to defending free speech on social media, maintaining public perception, and unbrainwashing the masses. His work with Tesla is paramount to the future of robotics and transportation. His work with AI is paramount to the advancement of human civilization.
Elon is not going anywhere. Elon is extremely important to humanity’s future, and if Trump’s economic plan works, Elon is going to be the single largest beneficiary. Elon’s companies are going to start booming even more than before. All of Elon’s companies will be extremely vital to the growth of this nation.
I think this little spat is a giant ruse, so when Elon’s net worth starts to skyrocket, he can say he had nothing to do with all this. Elon can say he publicly opposed the tariffs, the OBBB, and Trump himself. Elon is absolving himself of any involvement in the moves that will ultimately benefit him and his companies.
Trump has proven time and again he will engage in public theater, or kayfabe, if it is beneficial for optics reasons. I think that’s what we are witnessing here.

Now I’ll obviously never be able to prove this theory, but if Elon’s companies start booming in the future, can you see why this very public schism between Trump and Elon would be beneficial for all parties involved?
