As it was explained in a podcast I was listening to is the idea that so much of the internet is made up of bots talking to each or arguing with each other, we have lost or are losing the benefit of the internet as a mirror perfectly reflecting the views of a group or country and as a force for positive people driven social change and improvement.
Very quickly and speaking from simple and obvious integrity, any country that takes measures to detect, isolate and impose sanctions and prosecutions on such forms of people muffling and opinion shaping is doing an enormous favour to the people of that country. Quite possibly the world if it is taken up by other countries.
Anyone setting up a browser that is capable of detecting and deleting such practices – if the phenomena is able to be policed – is, I would say, creating a service that would easily compete with and out perform Chrome for popularity.
