Bombardier planes are used regionally throughout NZ. I have flown on them countless times. I once landed in a Bombardier plane at Wellington international airport during a hurricane. Wellington is one of the windiest airports in the world. We were the last plane to land before they shut down all flights. A heavy steel luggage trolley got loose and was flying along at speed – it was that windy. Scary as the landing was, at NO point did I think we were going to ‘lose wings and take a belly dive’.
Phew. Two days ago I was struggling to fill a post. It shows how quickly the global situation can change.
