Exiting the World Health Organization means the U.S. would no longer be automatically bound by or committed to WHO’s medical guidelines, standards, and reporting procedures.
Companies promoting unorthodox or cutting-edge treatments wouldn’t have to sync with WHO-led regulations or recommendations, potentially paving the way for faster, more independent development.
If the U.S. government is no longer tied to certain international guidelines (WHO) and if agencies face heightened judicial scrutiny (post-Chevron), innovators might pitch these advanced devices more boldly less worried about universal alignment with global standards.
