This is a very good comment.
The Indian government loves H-1B visas for the same reason the Mexican government loves open borders: a large percentage of the wage difference between American and foreign workers gets sent back to those countries in the form of remittances. The governments make more money by… https://t.co/4FcLgJjLTV

And Elon Musk does not know that he is caught in a difficult position along with the entire tech industry. Why? Because India currency is in the 1st basket of currencies to revalue to be 1:1 eventually with the RL/USD. The tech industries are about to get a major wake-up call. And they do not even see it coming.
This is the main driving force behind hiring labor for cheap over American workers. Currently, remittances are attractive because the wage gap between the U.S. and India is substantial. A dollar sent back to India holds much higher purchasing power than it does in the U.S. Musk’s companies do hire international talent, but this isn’t unique to him.
The entire tech sector relies on H-1B workers. Musk’s involvement in H-1B lobbying reflects broader industry trends rather than personal exploitation. So people needing to understand this situation with H-1B foreigners is in most major tech industries.
The U.S. labor market benefits from H-1B workers because they fill critical roles in innovation-heavy sectors. However, a---e exists, especially when firms use visas for cost-cutting rather than genuine talent acquisition. Musk’s ventures hire globally, but Tesla and SpaceX have significant American workforces.
If foreign labor fills gaps, it’s often because the U.S. isn’t producing enough engineers and scientists in key fields. So what happens to this once India revalue their currency? India’s massive IT outsourcing and business process outsourcing (BPO) industries thrive because labor is cheaper than in the U.S.
If wages equalize, U.S. companies would no longer have a cost advantage in outsourcing to India. Firms might automate or shift operations to other lower-cost countries, such as Vietnam, the Philippines, or African nations. India’s economic strategy would need to pivot towards value-added services and innovation rather than cost arbitrage. But the problem will not go away. Why?

Because those countries are also in the program’s of revaluation of their currency. So tech companies need to consider that eventually there will be no more advantage in hiring foreigners. This is about to go away. This is one of the aces that D. Trump has up his sleeve. And he is going to play this card. Guess who is about to get the ball rolling? Iraq.
So the MAGA Agenda will win out in the end. And these tech industries are going to be forced to hire Americans over foreigners. Because the financial incentives to not do so will ve wiped out soon. So the clock is ticking.
People you all have to understand. This is why humanoid robots are being pushed. The U.S. and other Western countries could experience labor shortages in tech and healthcare if Indian professionals stop migrating.
This might force countries to increase wages or invest heavily in domestic talent development. If Indian wages match U.S. wages, companies like Tesla wouldn’t gain cost advantages by hiring Indian engineers.
They might still hire globally for innovation and diversity but would no longer save on labor costs. Firms could double down on AI, robotics, and automation to reduce dependence on human labor, further reshaping job markets globally.
Do you understand now? People crying about migration. Then whining about robots. Then complaining about too many black people at Macy’s. Make up your minds because we will not have 2 & 3 ways. It’s either elimination or cooperation.
The choice is yours. For now.

Ian (@IanCarrollShow) how are they suppressing geniuses and the Indians who are being hired by Elon Musk are getting their education in American schools like Stanford, or MIT? Sure many are educated in India. But you are leaving out major parts because you do not want to rock the boat. Which is why you constantly take shots at my channel. Especially when it comes to my Michael Flynn post. But I digress. You are just to soft.
I will post what another person wrote to who is @VegasMike27
(Paraphrasing)
The situation is being misrepresented. It all began with a post suggesting the removal of H1B visa caps. This isn’t the first time we’ve dealt with H1B debates. Back in 2016, Trump made cracking down on H1B a---e a major talking point, highlighting how it undercut American wages and turned tech workers into glorified servants for billionaires. When tech elites got exposed, they shifted the narrative trying to make it seem like H1B expansion was all about attracting rare genius talent.
But here’s the catch there are already visa programs specifically for highly talented individuals. The O1 and EB1 visas exist for exactly that reason. Now, some are mixing this issue with politics, suggesting that opposing H1B expansion aligns with ignorance or prejudice a typical strategy used by Democrats and the media.
Suddenly, the argument shifts to Americans being too incompetent for the jobs, creating the illusion that H1Bs are necessary even for mid-level tech roles, all under the guise of needing “geniuses.” The irony? Many of these tech billionaires were staunch Democrats who despised Trump and MAGA until just recently. Now, they’re rebranding, pretending to be pro-Trump and pro-MAGA, while subtly belittling the movement by labeling its supporters as racist or ignorant.
The smarter players in this game are blurring the lines between H1B and O1/EB1 visassame old political playbook. They got caught, and now the mask has slipped.
Again I will reiterate this is not a Elon Musk issue. This is an entire industry. So people need to calm down because this is an entire culture within itself. Multiple tech companies are doing this. And the financial incentive is not being brought up.
So I have nothing against Indians who actually contribute to American society. I just know there are companies out there who are abusing the H-1B Visa programs. Google, CISCO, and Apple are among the companies that have been investigated for this.
Because this is also a humans rights a---e situation for migrant tech workers. The Center for Investigative Reporting (CIR) together with NBC Bay Area have been looking at tech immigrants to Silicon Valley and elsewhere in the U.S. for a year. And what they found was bad.
All this talk about super geniuses not being the priority in the American schools system is only one aspect of this. And it’s not addressing the other criminal practices.
Tekla S. Perry stated back in 2014 what is being higher today.

The system, on the surface, doesn’t seem like a bad thing. Consulting firms (a.k.a. labor brokers, a.k.a. body shops) recruit skilled tech workers, mostly engineers and computer programmers. The firms handle the paperwork required to get these workers H-1B visas, a category reserved for those with highly specialized knowledge.
Then tech companies contract with the consulting firms to use the workers. This allows the tech companies to quickly build up their work forces as needed, without having to deal with all the immigration paperwork.
But beneath the surface, the investigation found, many of these arrangements have problems. By looking at court records covering 600 H-1B visa a---e cases, the investigators found that contracts are often draconian, allowing the body shops to withhold wages and force workers to pay large fees if they quit. Some hold visas hostage to enforce these contracts, or threaten lawsuits. End qoute.
So this is the underlying issue that is not being discussed.

The Point Of No Return:
This clash between Elon Musk and MAGA over H-1B visa workers is like Caesar crossing the Rubicon a point of no return that could reshape the empire of Silicon Valley and American labor forever.
Elon, much like Caesar, stands at the head of an army of foreign talent, ready to reshape the tech landscape to his vision, believing that innovation demands loyalty to merit over borders.
Meanwhile, MAGA, echoing the Roman Senate, warns of betrayal arguing that the republic of American workers is under siege by legions of outsiders, threatening to undermine the native sons of the land.
This isn’t just a policy debate it’s a civil war for the soul of the future workforce, where economic pragmatism faces off against populist nationalism. One side claims progress is forged through open gates, the other insists security and prosperity are guarded by closed ones.
Who will win out? Well if you read my last few post you should know the answer already. This is about to heat up.
