But this will come with some caveats ofcourse. Some benefits may be offset by unintended consequences, such as labor shortages in key industries or increased costs for goods and services. The specific impacts will vary greatly by region, economic structure, and the scope of deportation policies. This will be a transition period where we figure out how to go about a less congested work force with undocumented immigrants.

I am starting to lose respect for the Deep State. I gave them way too much credit with their backdoor covert shenanigans that concealed their criminal behaved for decades. You would think these people would know better.
Name changes are public records. In many jurisdictions, changing one’s name requires a public announcement or court order, which can be accessed by law enforcement or anyone conducting a thorough search. This transparency serves as a safeguard against such tactics.
Changing one’s name does not alter their legal identity in a way that would prevent authorities from recognizing them. Official records, such as passports, driver’s licenses, social security numbers, and other forms of identification, are cross-referenced with legal name changes.

Law enforcement agencies would still have access to these records, allowing them to connect the new name to the old identity. Modern law enforcement uses more than just names to identify individuals. Fingerprints, DNA, and other biometric data are standard tools for identification.
A name change does not affect these identifiers, making it irrelevant for avoiding arrest. So I do not know what they are looking to accomplish other than wasting their time & money to resort to these desperate acts to escape Gitmo. But it us entertaining watching them try.
As absurd as it sounds, we have heard through sources that (Deep) State Department officials, as many as a dozen, are attempting to legally change their name–ostensibly so that if White Hats show up to arrest, they can say, "I'm not the person you're looking for."
