It Isn’t That We Don’t Censor….

I just posted an article on free speech in Brazil and I feel the need to make a distinction which the article doesn’t go into. (1)

Free speech is not unlimited. No human right is unlimited, to the best of my knowledge.

I can’t threaten your life and, when accosted, say: “Uh uh uh uh. Freedom of speech.”

My freedom ends where it threatens you and yours.

Human rights are limited. They can’t be used as a shield to hide behind, as is being done quite often today (irresponsible charges of “misinformation, disinformation,” paid shils for fact-checkers), while committing or covering up  human-rights crimes, abuses, and atrocities.

Obviously protecting human rights (which means restraining someone) requires a great deal of judicial interpretation along the way to make finer and finer distinctions, that thereafter guide the society. At least that’s how it was with Canadian jurisprudence at the turn of the twenty-first century when I was aware of it. (2)

As a refugee decision-maker, I used to read Supreme Court decisions like mystery novels. I loved the way they developed their arguments.

Today we read of supreme-court judges being flown to Gitmo. I can’t speak for the judicial scene in any country today – look at Brazil!  But at that time (turn of the century), I felt well-protected and well-served by our Supreme Court.

Behind human-rights law – at much higher levels of Reality – there’s always the notion of balance. The whole judicial machinery can be seen in this light.

Law addresses and seeks to end a harmful social situation. The guilty are restrained.  A settlement of  affairs is made.

Things “settle down” again.  The temperature returns to normal, individually and socially.

We’re bringing things back to the balance point, the middle, the center.

Fancy that. What else is in that same center? The heart. WELL, WHADDYA KNOW!

The heart is an interdimensional portal and here we are restored to it. I’ll be darned.

Who is responsible for this fortuitous design? Michael tells us: “The Mother … is the ultimate architect.” (3)

The Mother herself clarifies:

Divine Mother: Although it is the Father’s and my Eternal Divine Plan, I am also Guardian of this Plan – I am Overseer, I am Implementer…. I guide the pieces as if this was a chess board. (4)

In hearing this explanation, we’re right down at hard-wiring level. But this hard wiring encourages us, out there in what we mistakenly believe to be the “real world” and guided by the Mother’s Will, to write laws that will return us to the center, peace, the heart.

Only in that peace can we fulfill the purpose of life, which is to discover who we really are. (5)

So to repeat, our human-rights laws operate by prohibiting one person’s acts which violate the human rights of another. There are acts of prohibition – and hence censorship – involved. I may not start a blog advocating the k-----g of all (fill in the blanks). There is censorship for such a blog and probably imprisonment for me.

To represent this as a censorship-free world ignores the fact that we do censor malicious, genocidal, pedophilic, and other types of reprehensible publications, which violate the overarching human right to a peaceful, protected life of those they criticize, attack and attempt to destroy.

It isn’t that we don’t censor. It’s that what we want to censor must be a well-defined and clear violation of human rights and that decisions regarding it are regularly reviewed and adjudicated if necessary, as an added protection.

What? The answer? OK. The answer is we are all God, each and every one of us. No impact? Yes, it has to be more than intellectual knowledge; more than experiential knowledge. It has to be realized knowledge.
