NEW: Senior House Democrat tells Axios they have “resigned” themselves to a second Trump presidency after the assa*sination attempt.
The report also claimed that all talk about replacing Biden has stopped for the time being.
“We’re all just focused on expressing condolences… and keeping our teams safe,” a House Democrat, critical of Biden, reportedly said.
A second House Democrat says they are accepting the potential that Trump will be the next president.
“We’ve all resigned ourselves to a second Trump presidency,” they said.

BREAKING: Trump has completely scrapped his original RNC speech, says he sees a chance to bring the whole world together during an interview with @ZitoSalena.
“That reality is just setting in. I rarely look away from the crowd. Had I not done that in that moment, well, we would not be talking today,” he told the Washington Examiner.
“This is a chance to bring the whole country, even the whole world together. The speech will be a lot different, a lot different than it would’ve been two days ago.”
