Warmest February in the 10 years I’ve been here: at least 4 days unusually above zero C (32 F) and on Feb 27, about 3 minutes of hail during a thunder, lightning, rainstorm. Snowbanks well below normal height. No snowmen yet this winter due to lack of fluffy snow, temperatures. On February 28 the temperature dropped from + 5 C to – 20 C or 41 F to – 4 F. It’s – 23 C or – 9 F now early Leap Day.

Homeless People

In the last year there has been an obvious increase in homeless people in North Bay ON, Canada. I have seen many men holding cardboard signs at local shopping centres and at the crossroads of Northern Ontario being the very busy intersection of Highway 11B (Main Street, Algonquin Avenue) and Highway 17.
