What Are PFAS (Forever Chemicals)?
PFAS are dangerous chemicals in our water, manufactured goods, foods, furniture and clothing. It stands for “polyfluoroalkyl substances”. These are carbon-fluorine chains of molecules. They are extremely tightly bonded and never seem to break down. So, they’ve gotten the nickname, “Forever Chemicals.”
PFAS are dangerous because they suppress the immune system and they’re associated with various diseases. They are particularly dangerous for pregnant women, children, babies and people whose immune systems are already compromised..
Hope for Solving the PFAS Problem
It used to be thought that you couldn’t remove PFAS from the environment or body. But, this article discusses recent discoveries about forever chemicals and solutions for removing PFAS from the home environment and body.
Nano-Platinum Can Break the PFAS Fluorine-Carbon Bond!
PFAS is such a huge problem mainly because of the fact they never break down. With new exposures to PFAS daily the concentrations in our bodies and environment keep growing all the time.
But, finally, we have learned of something that can break a carbon-fluorine bond!
Brookhaven Labs discovered using platinum (nano-platinum) helps to break the forever-chemical-bonds. The process is similar to electrolysis of water. [See the article.]
This discovery offers hope for ordinary people, because if the “nano-platinum” in ionized water helps to break the fluorine-carbon (forever chemical) bonds in our bodies we could rid ourselves of this threat. A water ionizer may seem expensive, but it really only amounts to less than $1.00 per gallon of ionized water.

Water treatment companies using the knowledge gained from the Brookhaven studies may very well discover novel ways of water treatment, which bring healthier, chemical-free water to the public with not too great of a cost.
Platinum is expensive, so neither of these promising scenarios is super cheap. But, they’re not too expensive either. They also are certainly well worth it if they help avoid some of the awful repercussions of PFAS overload in the body.
