Self-Reflection Time [10]: The Final Frontier, Truth, Good Judgment, Landing this Magic Bus, And Moving Forward
At the precipice when a campaign is nearest towards victory there is one significant threat that must always be taken seriously; and, that is, one’s own hubris. When it comes to accomplishment, it matters not what others say or do; what matters is what you choose to do in any given situation; demonstrating the temerity to respect your opposition’s free-will but at the same time asserting your own free-will despite the misgivings of others (even your peers and supporters); some call that temerity…courage in the face of opposition.
Many think of hubris as excessive confidence that one’s plans and intentions will be inevitable. I would like to point out that knowledge of what “is” changes daily in any real conflict and often, developed knowledge has a limited impact period. So, the developed knowledge one possessed yesterday, last week, last month and last year doesn’t guarantee what “is” today or tomorrow. This is the reality of a dynamic world in which free-will thrives. The challenge, in many wars that project a sea change, is with perseverance fatigue, maintaining focus on tasks of the plan, disengagement of those toe-to-toe in the trenches, and hubris by the perceived winners based on the perception that the opposition will inevitably be crushed or defeated. It is folly to sell chickens before the eggs have hatched or discount hubris and unvalidated assumptions.
I would also like to point out that in order for any entity to govern a people…the people have to agree or at the very least not actively revolt; which is a manifested failure to accept the value proposition presented. Prevention of a failure to accept requires a range of alternatives from which to choose the best path; and, importantly as well as perhaps the best alternative must include the transparent and irrefutably complete truth. Because sharing truth leads to respected opportunities to climb out of the hole that we dug for ourselves during our lucid or delusional hours/days/weeks/months/years/decades/centuries. A solution cannot be foisted on the people; hammering it into their heads or ramming it ever so carefully down their throats.
Everyone wants to be a savior like Jesus Christ. Why can’t people realize that TO BE means that you ARE in thought, word and deed. While only Jesus can be Jesus, the rest of us can emulate the example of Jesus in our words and actions. Would it be novel for people to do the right thing, not for selfish gain, but because it is the right thing to do in all situations? If you do right always, everyone benefits. As a solution, the virtue of patience with others never disadvantaged anyone. The solution doesn’t translate to putting anyone’s life on pause or hold while we endure someone else’s journey of discovery. Doing the right thing, when society expects it, can have far reaching impact.
I recall the words of my Grandfather who endured a communist takeover in his home country. He said that he could trust the hard-core communists because you knew where you stood with them; he didn’t agree with them or what they did but accepted them for who they were…EVIL. What I didn’t previously share is that he believed that the only way to combat communism is if society were structured to train the youth in self-control; providing thoughtful forthright opportunities to educate the children to build a competent, capable people of character who value, respect and honor good judgment and its development. He valued wisdom as well as command and control of one’s self over all. As children of God, the Creator, we can make this happen.

In the late 80s a wise old Master Chief Petty Officer (“a thirty-year man” who grew up in Montana) once told me quite a colorful metaphor of life behaviors, sharing that there are characters that he identified as ranchers, cowboys, horses, cattle and bison. The effective ranchers are at the top and run the whole place in a thoughtful and productive way. The cowboys are the leaders who, with mastery, gratitude and great respect, attempt to move the herd (cattle and bison) in the desired direction towards greener pastures. To a thoughtful and caring rancher, a conscientious, competent and capable cowboy with good judgment and self-control is worth his weight in gold as far as making the ranch run smoothly. The horses are the staffers, implementers, and workers. Without intelligent, and capable horses under them, most cowboys aren’t very productive or effective herding from the ground level amongst the herd instead of on horseback.
Cattle generally follow the horses and the herd to a point but are unwilling to run off a cliff should the horse or other cattle charge headfirst over the edge. Interestingly, cows have proven to possess well-developed spatial-cognitive and discrimination abilities with complex learning and long-term memory. Thus, the majority of cattle will stop at the edge of a cliff when they notice the cowboy, horse and other cattle are going beyond where they perceive they can or want to go (beyond their own field of view, inspiration or interests).
Bison are the social “ideologues” who follow the lead ideologue bull, even over the cliff; and, in general, don’t pay too much attention to the cattle or the horses and cowboys unless they threaten their herd. Bison operate in a social structure that is passive (undisturbed) or aggressive (fight); appearing peaceful or unconcerned and yet may attack without warning. There’s an adage about bison: “While cows huddle together and run from the storm, the Bison, take the storm head on, charging directly into its path.” Perhaps with more balls sans intellect, at times. It’s important to note that native Americans celebrated the bison (called “Tatanka”) and anchored whole systems of tribal survival based on migrations of bison herds; as a resource, bison provided food, clothing, housing, and ensured the tribe’s survival.
The good Master Chief told me that if you want bison who are unknowingly following an ill-intentioned bull to do something then you must grab the lead nefarious bull by the balls to get them to guide the other bison where you want them to go. Dancing around with a red cape like you are a Super Doorman or singing great stories of how things were may be good entertainment for the movies but that bull won’t be moved to do anything but charge…and the last time I checked No Action Talk Only (NATO) has gotten us into our fair share of messes. Sometimes it’s better to ignore the snake oil salesmen and get on with it.
I digress; back to the good Master Chief.
He said that if you want the cattle to go where you want them to go then you must, with care, respectfully herd them to better pastures. From his perspective, competent and capable horses are worth their weight in gold to a rancher and especially a cowboy. Thus, in my world view, a rancher isn’t productive without good cowboys; cowboys aren’t effective without good horses; horses aren’t productive without effective clear guidance and respect; cattle won’t move without inspiration; and bison won’t comply without social intentions dictated by an effective lead bull. We can’t make today’s Bison into Cattle or vice versa; but, we can impact their future progeny by presenting the benefits of free-will opportunities; valuing and focusing on development of character, competence, capability, good judgment…and, self-control. Some might point out that cattle and bison are food; maybe in today’s world they are. For some, truth be told we are all food…at least, for thought. Then again, who am I to say this movie doesn’t have any plot twists!?
As I stated in my previous posts, attrition via bleeding out and altering the “life blood” (without k-----g the patient) is, in my view, the way to root out a ruthlessly pervasive parasitically evil system. It starts with insignificant conversations around the periphery of main topics by an increasing number of people that would normally not be capable of such talk. This change would flow from the top oppositional influencers and ends with a sea change in the financial system. Consider the ground gained if the so-called opposition’s top leaders spoke out against their own agendas, casually pointing out what could happen were it to be implemented in full force, and then championing AGAINST what previous agenda they foisted on the public; letting their following know the duality of what they presented.

What kinds of change in world views would occur if the corrupt opposition’s leaders and influencers were to red pill their own followings? In other words, imagine if the opposition’s leaders and influencers were publicly truthful about their agendas and intentions to their followers? After all, they built the mess; why can’t they help clean up the mess they built? Then, through smoke and mirrors “magic,” the financial system receives a forklift back-office change overnight spanning some timed / sequenced weekend. Imagine no change to the front-end use of point of sale or ATMs or credit card or electronic purchases except for what change is needed on the back-end…almost like a thief in the night stealing away the bondages of the old system with the anticlimactic flip of a switch. The FED under Jerome Powell could even publicly announce the change in currency to a gold backed system overseen by Treasury along with a schedule for exchange of fiat for asset backed currencies and the intention and timeframe to closedown the FED for business.
Imagine corrupt public leaders and mainstream media talking heads announcing they are stepping down due to pending investigations and prosecution…for the good of the people…then apologizing for leading everyone down the wrong path.
Imagine corrupt judges tossing bogus cases and announcing they are retiring or stepping down due to pending investigations and prosecution. Imagine the US Administration announcing bankruptcy of the U.S. Corporation and that they are stepping down due to corruption investigations and transitioning to an interim military government under military law that will oversee new elections to return the nation to a constitutional republic as well as the date on which those elections will be held. Imagine the military reserve and retirees activated in an orderly manner to support active duty military in their governance of the people leading up to transparent paper ballot elections within 120 days of the announcement of transition back to our constitutional republic.
Instead of quid pro quo as the standard, imagine the truth. We must get the people focused on BEING present, here and now; not anchored in the past we cannot change nor an unknown future. Imagine those corrupt (influencers and leaders) modeling the just and forthright behavior expected of a just people. Yes, it would be confusing for those who lived the lie; but, as always, the truth “shall set you free.” What kind of protests would occur in the streets? Would it be people demonstrating in the streets to keep the confessed corrupt politicians from stepping down of their “volun-told” free-will!? Could it be people protesting how they feel?…since the the woven rug of a lie was yanked out from underneath them? People won’t lose their “presence of mind” if those influencers they follow publicly announce they are stepping down due to pending investigations and prosecution as they subsequently apologize to their followers for the illegal, immoral or unethical behavior and actions they took.
If those who aspire to do justice would allow the truth to be publicly told by the unjust, there would be no need for drama to cover a transition. Responsible people can act responsibly in an orderly manner, if given the opportunity and respect to do so. We are all one team with one fight and the fight is not with each other; the fight is with ignorance and evil. Let’s get everyone onboard by getting everyone engaged. We need active discourse amongst the people to facilitate an orderly transition to a new world fill with hope, peace, love, and prosperity.
Loving thy neighbor means giving them the respect, space, and support to exercise their voice and their free-will in an ethical, moral, and legal way. We cannot hope to BE our best if the opportunity is not there to BE our best selves; without drama, fanfare, condescension or hubris. After all, WE are the children of God, the Creator, and deserve respect and acknowledgement for who WE ARE!
