Congressional Reform Act of 2011
1. Term Limits. 12 years only, one of the possible options below.
A. Two Six-year Senate terms
B. Six Two-year House terms
C. One Six-year Senate term and three Two-Year House terms
No Tenure / No Pension.
2. A Congressman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they are out of office.
3. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security.
4. All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people.
5. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do.
6. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.
7. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.
8. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.
9. All contracts with past and present Congressmen are void effective 1/1/12. The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen. Congressmen made all these contracts for themselves.
Of course I support reforms. My first thoughts about Congress were that service in the Congress should be a type of military service that one performs, similar to being an officer in the US military. Myself, I was a “90-day wonder” going to Officer Training School for USAF. If duty as a Representative were one or two terms (4 years) after college and a 90-day training school for political theory and protocols, we would have the ability to be governed by a body whose membership did not have personal investments and interests to protect.
I suppose one idea regarding the Senate would be a single term there, which would commence immediately following one or two terms in the House. This might minimize the personal interests of the Senate members.
A problem with this approach is membership with filial or commercial sponsorship or ties. If your father is a billionaire are you going to support his interests? So there is more to making this work than it seems.
1) We don’t need to have an election process that requires funding. We can have a series of public debates and a run-off system, “October Madness”, similar to March Madness. The debates don’t need much more than publicly-funded internet access. However, we also need reforms like immediate recall to ensure once one commits in debate to a political stance, that this was not a false promise.

2) We don’t need to have a system that supports “generational wealth”. Why should anyone be born “with a silver spoon in their mouth”? There should be severe limits to what one can inherit. For any Representative or Senator, these should possibly be stricter or eliminated, such that the Privileged offspring of wealthy persons won’t even be interested in serving as a legislator.
We are potentially approaching an implementation of the Brunson SCOTUS case which would remove 388 corruptocrats. This would create a golden opportunity for reform. As you know, I wrote a hundred pages on suggested reforms free at https://drive.google.com/file/d/1HCzGbI8-LJGIhffft5SptEtD0P19D2q6/view and invite comments to blowt000366@gmail.com. However, the purpose of this Paine-like tract is not to be definitive, but to provoke discussion. So far, reforms have not been a discussion point on Rumble or elsewhere, but I am still hopeful. If We The People are too busy to discuss reforms, the elites (entrenched in the status quo) will gladly do this for us.
