My Reply To timjoebob Regarding ‘Gun Violence’
Yo, TJB-
Thanks for the admiration and for trying to ‘set us all straight’ (sarcasm), but you seem to have missed the entire point, as the term ‘gun violence’ refers to violent acts that are committed by persons using guns. That’s all it means, and no one here is ‘misguidedly’ or ‘fervently supporting’ taking your guns away from you or ‘brainwashing’ you into believing that mechanical objects commit crimes of their own free will (Duh). Simply put, dude, you misread and misrepresented what was written and then indulged yourself in a very negative emotional tantrum. Read it again now, this time slowly, while taking deep breaths(more sarcasm)…
~Learn about the connections that drugs and addiction have with gun violence. The Recovery Village educates people on the causes as the first step to working towards preventing them. Studies have shown a link between gun violence and substance use. Additionally, links between drinking and certain mental health problems may be associated with gun violence. Understanding the relationship between guns, drugs, drinking, and mental health will help bring an end to gun violence and create a healthier society.~
One simple sentence clarifies what’s been said there: Substance a---e and mental health problems have been found to be associated with violent acts committed by persons with guns.
I’ll conclude simply by saying that your toxic preach-fest is clearly an act of “word violence,” (which I blame you for, not your words) and I suggest you work on your tendency to let your emotions control you so you don’t misunderstand what you read and cause any more harm. Sorry about the heat here pal, but frankly, you asked for it.
