LIGHTS ETERNAL
We discover in the scriptures that Father divided the “Light”(s) from the darkness and then a few days later he created the great light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night. First we are told that the location where our Earth was created was in darkness and the material of which it was created was without form. It appears that there was a large amount of water here. We are also told that it was dark, and that his spirit moved upon the water and we necessarily conclude, some other materials as well.
As to the reckoning of time, the Lord informed the Prophets that a day in heavenly time was equal to a thousand years of Earth time. We should also remember that up until the fourth “day” of Earth’s creation there was no sun and therfore no earth day and certainly no earth year. We may be justified in assuming that the Creator was working to Heavenly Time.
Moses 2:3 And I, God, said: Let there be light; and there was light. 4 And I, God, saw the light; and that light was good. And I, God, divided the light from the darkness. 5 And I, God, called the light Day; and the darkness, I called Night; and this I did by the word of my power, and it was done as I spake; and the evening and the morning were the first day. (The first thousand Earth Years)
It was during the first heavenly day that Father divided the “Light” from the darkness. The sun, moon and stars were created and set up to give light to the Earth on the Fourth day. It was not indicated that the sun was created of the light that was separated from the darkness. It has been since determined that the sun was not created of light, but of gaseous matter, mainly hydrogen. So what was the nature of that “light” that was divided from the darkness?
1Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellouslight:
Were those lights perhaps the primordial intelligences that were organized and became the Spirit Children of God, before the world was created? Were these intelligences the same for whom the Most High God created, by his Beloved Son, this Earth that we currently dwell on, in order that we may prove our faithfulness in obtaining and keeping divine Covenants?
Abraham 3:22 Now the Lord had shown unto me, Abraham, the intelligences that were organizedbefore the world was; and among all these there were many of the noble and great ones;
By the words he spoke to Abraham, we know that the Intelligences were, “…organized before the world was…”.
Abraham 3:24 And there stood one among them that was like unto God, and he said unto those who were with him: We will go down, for there is space there, and we will take of these materials, and we will make an earth whereon these may dwell; 25 And we will prove them herewith, to see if they will do all things whatsoever the Lord their God shall command them;
26 And they who keep their first estate shall be added upon; and they who keep not their first estateshall not have glory in the same kingdom with those who keep their first estate; andthey who keep their second estate shall have glory added upon their heads for ever and ever.
This mortal life is our second estate. There was a time in my life, many years ago when I was approached by Christians who declared that Jesus is our Savior. I could not comprehend who Jesus was or what he was saving me from or saving me for.
Later, as I sought for the truth in this universe, I began to comprehend this matter. I learned and was shown through divine power, that Jesus is our Savior. I learned that Jesus saved us through his own sacrifice from a very certain condition, that we would otherwise be enveloped in, at the close of our mortal lives, and which would become to us like an eternal torture, a terrible mourning. That condition would be of our own choice, since we were offered, many times, the choice to accept the conditions of life in the Celestial Paradise of the Most High God, our Heavenly Father.
He made a perssonal sacrifice that is known as the Atonement of Jesus Christ. That sacrifice was made in order to pay the debt owed to eternal law, by you and me, because of our errors. It was a vital divine intescession, in behalf of each one of us personally. We are living under Temporal Law in this current Earth Experience and we have all committed errors. We are like littel children who learn the rules by trial and error. Father knew we would not be able to live through Mortality without making any bad choices or sins.
He loves every single one of us, His Children. He cannot force us to make the good choice. He only can hold out the offer of forgiveness and hope we would rather live eternally in his kingdom than return to the realm of darkness that he called us out of. The choice remains for each one of us to make for ourselves.
We are coming quickly to the end of that time allowed for our choice. This message is sent in the hope that the reader will accept the opportunity to be forgiven of his sins and determine that he would rather live in a kingdom of light and love, than in darkness and despair which is the only other choice. Our Savior, Jesus the Christ is anxiously waiting for each one of us to call out to him seeking guidance to find the Truth, and accept the Payment He made for the redemption of each of our erring souls.
