Supplemental Cysteine versus Glutathione: The Science

Glutathione is one of the most important molecules in the body, where it has over 400 important functions. It is the subject of more than twice as many Peer-Reviewed Studies as Vitamin C.
Glutathione is a tripeptide made of cysteine, glycine, and glutamic acid. Moreover, cysteine is usually the limiting amino acid for glutathione synthesis and it is well established that increasing the supply of L-Cysteine or its precursors enhances L-Glutathione (GSH) synthesis.
