Parisse Deza’s Response To “Angel of One” Regarding What To Do

can we rightfully justify, allow, or continue to allow tens upon tens of thousands of kids to be forcibly taken from us year after year after year?

do we not owe it to these children who are our sacred charges, to bear arms, to stand our ground, and to fight to our last breath if it should become necessary?

…are the proposed responses of non-compliance with complete passivity as described in your post, still practical, still meaningful?

If what you are doing in courtrooms is working even in a limited way, then you ought to continue that, but stop suffering over it all. Your response to my article is heavy with dramatic emotion that compromises your effectiveness. Feeling pain and suffering over something are not the same thing. You can feel compassion for others and help them without suffering for them. Perhaps your suffering will eventually get so bad that it catalyzes a major change in consciousness for you. Often, it is increased pain that makes us change.

The reason you are suffering and feeling like you can’t do enough is because you are mired in emotions and living through your ego-mind, not your natural mind. The ego-mind is a little box of memories, programmed responses, and statistics which are based on the past and don’t necessarily have anything to do with the present. Using ego mind to relate to the world is frustrating and usually causes more problems because the ego has no perspective and no relationship with the world. It is based on traumatic experiences from the past we haven’t resolved, which keep recirculating through us looking for a way out so we can relax. And your internal, unresolved pain is being triggered by the outer events you describe in your post. Egos try to change things in the outer world because of that unintegrated pain inside. We all have to let go of trying to change things, because we can’t change them. We can create new things to replace the old. In the meantime, one stays neutral and excited about the new creation; so excited that one experiences it as if it were already real. This is the answer to your plight: You keep recreating your past pain instead of letting it go and concentrating on creating what you want to experience instead. Your state of mind is not trusting; it is fearful and controlling.

…perhaps you will also agree that, knowing the principle to something, and knowing how to put that principle into practice, are two very different animals, and without the latter, the former are but empty words, however true and accurate they might be.

I do not agree. I cautioned specifically about not seeing the concept as aphorism, but as truth. If you are in your natural mind (in which your heart and your head are connected and you are sitting in a meditative silence in which you can feel peace) and seeing the world neutrally, yet with compassion, you are going to know exactly what to do and how to do it – if anything. In fact, it will happen through you, not from you. This is where the biggest item resides in all conversations like this one – the question, “Are we going to continue to be addicted to our emotions, be pawns of the ego and stay in suffering victimhood, or are we going to shift to the higher vibration of the natural mind Life gave us and be the calm, stable, empowered creators we were meant to be?”

When you are calm and stable, careful of attention,

The celestial design is always clear.

The you have autonomy in action

And can handle whatever arises.  –Li Daochun, Daoist sage, 1279-1368

Watch this twelve minute video to get the idea of acting effortlessly from the Source:

You must stop being afraid or angry in order to be properly effective. On the famous wheel of psychology – perpetrator-victim-rescuer – you are playing both victim and rescuer. If you want to help the world achieve the state of peace and freedom, you have to get off of that wheel. If you don’t have a strong meditation practice going, start one now, because meditation is THE answer.

I never “proposed responses of non-compliance with complete passivity.”

Your ego has you in reaction, convinced that not trying means not caring and not doing anything, which is the opposite of what I say in the article, and it has you thinking that the only way that actually will work, which is ancient, is somehow obsolete because of that. Love, patience, persistence, tolerance, fortitude, justice…those are all virtues. The use of this virtue-power is what makes positive change in the world, not falling apart in self-indulgent displays of emotion. There are literally dozens of science studies over the last thirty years or more that show conclusively that a large group a meditators focusing altogether can lower the crime rate in a city by significant amounts. That kind of “passive” action is where the ultimate answer to your question lies:

This statement is a premise, a basic truth, not an aphorism. It is consummately practical, because the entire universe is created from, and based upon, vibration, energy frequency. Until humanity realizes this and takes it seriously, nothing will completely change our situation.

What vibrations do you want to infuse the world with if what you really want is to live in a world in which peace, love, and happiness are the norm?
