There is a phrase going around to the effect that we should not be looking to one man to save us, we should avoid saviour complex thinking.
This is a palliative phrase put out by the White Hats (I am sure) for good reasons or bad because they allowed an election to be stolen from the people and have done nothing to redress that picture in over a year.
You know the narrative: the election had to be stolen to trap more DS and hey, most of the worst have been gitmo’d anyway, the rest is now just theatre and you may as well believe this line because you won’t be getting anything else, even though an election result was reversed and then served up to you to consume in broad daylight.
What this extremely narrow interpretation of people’s feelings about the matter completely misses is that people are not looking for a saviour of any kind unless he comes with all the miraculous credentials associated with that title.
They only and simply want the person they elected: that human being to publicly take up office and continue publicly the job of his first term.
And no amount of rephrasing that desire as something else or trying to put spin on it (so it seems somehow ungodly, or unconscionable for good, decent people having elected a provenly good individual back into the job he does best, to want to actually see him doing it) will alter either its fire or the implicit intuition that any system that thwarts such a desire for any reason is incredibly suspicious.

Nor will it alter the certain knowledge they hold that whatever is happening now is against their common wish and desire.
Now is he iconic, yes, with all he promised and all he delivered in his first term, keeping his popularity despite the worst media endured by any public figure ever (outside of a common criminal) he is probably the most iconic president in US history.
Is he central, yes, he is the president elected by a record number of votes, he could not be more central to the political scene according to the electorates wishes and perspective – i.e. those who matter.
People are neither looking for or seeking a saviour. They want their due right from a system that’s trustworthy enough to give it to them, and no amount of spin or attempts to undermine his status as the real, duly elected leader of the country he loves will shift the fact from their minds that it is being withheld from them on a daily basis.
