Response to: “The Military Tribunal has accused Jerusalem of hiding a secret tunnel (150 miles) called the Messiah Tunnel that connected the city of Jerusalem with the Vatican. Our planet has been connected by underground tunnels for thousands of years.”
Missing a zero? – The direct distance by air between Rome, Italy and Jerusalem, Israel is 1,500 miles. Add another 1,000 miles for overland. An underground distance of 1,500 miles would require the majority of the distance to be below the Mediterranean Sea. The Mediterranean Sea has an average depth of 1,500 meters. The Crusaders took arduous and dangerous land routes from Europe to Jerusalem, as did those on Pilgrimage. The Muslim invaders of Europe did likewise. The logistics and provisioning required for underground traveling beneath the Mediterranean was probably too great for their backpacks and horses. And, if one was to confront the other somewhere through the underground tunnel, it didn’t bode well for either, from a retreat standpoint.”
