There is a part of editing I love. Whether it is a manuscript or a video. It’s after a year or so has passed and when one looks at the work again with fresh eyes.
That’s the moment when you start slashing the pieces that bog something down.
Seeing the fat, the extraneous– then slicing and dicing it into the trash.
Perfection is a fool’s quest but making something better than it was, is not.
When you know much of what you have done is flawed and lacking the expertise of big budget, specialists and the latest tech and teams of creators, one has to either say fuggit, it was what it was when created 40 years previously as a teen, or be obsessive, compulsive and tweak it again. Trying not to throw babies out with bathwater and use what is there to illustrate the new education the decades have revealed.
Some day you will all know the Earth is a plane. Science Fiction is way more fiction than science or fact. The Bible has gotten much of it right. The demonic forces of the Earthly plane hates God’s work and inverts it.
But you can’t know this until you open your brain up for a few hours and look.
THEY lied about EVERYTHING.
