So then, what do we, collectively, do with them if executions are ‘ inhumane ‘ or contrary to biblical teachings ? Keep in mind that the “ Jesus ‘ you referred to biblically thought that k-----g himself [ or ‘ allowing himself to be k----d ‘] was a good idea, & not just execution, but {allegedly} the t-----e of crucifixion. I don’t care who he was, we all know human nature recognizes examples of behavior as much more powerful than any words. Realistically, if “ his word “ had been followed to begin with, this conversation wouldn’t exist.
So do we ‘ follow his word ‘ or follow his example ? You can’t have both no matter how I look at it.
As an example, { gruesome only for clarity } one of us finds our child was k-------d, t------d for a----------e, & then sacrificed. You find out who did it. What do you do ? Follow Jesus example [ k--l ], follow his word [ love & forgive ] or pluck one of the plethora of “ Biblical ‘ sayings like ‘ an eye for an eye ?’
We don’t really execute for the present crime, we execute to SAVE / PREVENT THE NEXT VICTIM FROM SUFFERING THE SAME FATE. WE ARE SAVING ANOTHER LIFE.
I do agree that some other form of justice should be searched for besides k-----g, but we CANNOT leave persons known to k--l, steal, rob & t-----e for money & power get turned loose with an “ I love you, don’t do it again.” We’ve already tried that method, the results are not encouraging.
My thinking is to consider a prison planet or some form of rigidly controlled isolation & put them there, among their own kind, to let THEM sort it out. They will either k--l each other off or come to the conclusion that some form of morality & cooperation will best assure their survival.
I doubt the [ alleged ] ‘ Galactics ‘ have a viable solution, either. The oft told tales by many claiming to be aliens of their own galactic wars & killings hardly seems “ advanced “ thinking, & is a piss poor example for us of just how these so called advanced beings behave themselves. If they were really “ advanced,” would there still be space wars ? Of course, this assumes that ANY of the alien stories are actually true. Their wars are a shitty example for us.

If the powers that be would get OFF THEIR ASSES & pass out replicators, we could end the age old practice of k-----g animals for food. I would much, much rather pet Bambi than use her for sustenance. Wouldn’t you ?
