Happy International Friendship Day!
Happy International Friendship day to you all. Today is celebrated in many countries for different reasons: Here in the US, it is also National Raspberry Cream Pie day, National Girlfriends Day, United States Air Force Day, Colorado’s Statehood Day (38thstate of 1876), and World Scout Day among others.
Elsewhere, it is Emancipation Day for Jamaica, Barbados, Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago, and Bermuda. A rather important day symbolically for many reasons.
Here, the “burger guy” has plunged the “baby” into a state of perpetual chaos which really needs to stop. A public message to our elected officials is necessary at this juncture to voice our UNIFIED dissent of undesired governmental pursuits. I have formulated some messages for posters and banners which could be flown by blimps or small aircraft to ensure aerial visibility or written on helium balloons to be released at such events, and of course placards. Feel free to use or modify as you choose or create your own as well. Put your bright minds to the task of saving your country. 😉
Public demonstrations are allowed only in specified locations, for which permits can be obtained from your Clerk’s Office at City Hall. This may vary by country. It is important that you follow the guidelines to peacefully and effectively make your voices heard. Free Speech Event permits will have to be scheduled in advance by an ‘event organizer’. I am suggesting someone in each county/city take the initiative to schedule the event and publicize it in the US by the name “Save our Democracy” so we will know. That way if we call City Hall, they can inform us of where such an event has been scheduled.
We will then all gather at the specified locations in our cities and towns worldwide on 08/18/21, World Humanitarian Day to peacefully make our wishes known. There would be no admission cost, no sale of goods, no setting up of structures such as coverings, tables, or chairs. You might also request a loudspeaker permit when contacting the Clerk’s office but the sooner one reserves the location for that date, the better. Given that this is a weekday, the primary hours might be from 4pm onwards, although those that are able, could get there sooner, each with a placard or helium filled balloon displaying your chosen message to be released in unison. The idea is for this to be a global event.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, We’re not lambs for your s-------e.
To be clear guys, a unified harmonious response is what I am suggesting. No violence whatsoever.
We have a right to assemble when our government(s) no longer represents our interests, and flagrantly violates our constitution and rights. This is a collective global response to say we will settle for nothing less than reform, our voices being heard, and immediate action taken to stop this travesty. Any suggestions/comments are welcome. All can be modified to suit your causes and country. The idea is to stand together on this date worldwide.
