What Has God Said About the Constitution of the United States?

Since the Bible was written long before the United States Constitution was created, we can’t expect God’s word in the Bible to speak about the Constitution.  One could infer that we need prophets in our day to receive the word of God regarding our Constitution.

To answer the above question that the title of this article presents, we first need a little background to help clear up a couple of common scriptural misconceptions.  These can be boiled down to (1) the belief that the Bible contains all the word of God and (2) the belief that there is to be no more revelation from God to man.  Let’s examine these two misconceptions in more detail.

The Bible itself testifies of the revealed word of God that is not found in the Bible.  Here are references in the Bible to other inspired books that were lost to mankind (missing scripture) when the Bible was collated into a single volume:

1.  Book of the Wars of the Lord (Num. 21:14)

2.  Book of Jasher (Josh. 10:13; 2 Sam. 1:18)

3.  Book of the acts of Solomon (1 Kgs. 11:41)

4.  Book of Samuel the seer (1 Chr. 29:29)

5.  Book of Gad the seer (1 Chr. 29:29)

6.  Book of Nathan the prophet (1 Chr. 29:29; 2 Chr. 9:29)

7.  Prophecy of Ahijah (2 Chr. 9:29)

8.  Visions of Iddo the seer (2 Chr. 9:29; 12:15; 13:22)

9.  Book of Shemaiah (2 Chr. 12:15)

10.  Book of Jehu (2 Chr. 20:34)

11.  Sayings of the seers (2 Chr. 33:19)

12.  An epistle of Paul to the Corinthians, earlier than our present 1 Corinthians (1 Cor. 5:9)

13.  Possibly an earlier epistle to the Ephesians (Eph. 3:3)

14.  An epistle to the Church at Laodicea (Col. 4:16)

15.  Some prophecies of Enoch, known to Jude (Jude 1:14)

This is not all.  There are references in the Bible to texts that may or may not be contained in our current Bible  (see

In addition to these references it is only simple logic to conclude that many of the words of the Lord to His prophets would have been lost.  This is so because true prophets, i.e. those called of God as was Moses, are rejected by the majority of people in most societies and generally persecuted and often killed with their writings of the word of God being destroyed.  These persecutors lie, mock, and defame the true prophets of God in any dispensation, including in today’s world, while setting on a pedestal the self-appointed, fake “prophets”, i.e. those who pretend to speak for God but do not.  Real Christians of any faith will not be persecutors, because they are filled with the pure love of Christ known as charity.

The above represents ample evidence that the Bible does not include all the words of God to His children.  The Bible itself testifies to this fact.  Now let’s examine the belief that there is to be no more revelation to man following the Book of Revelation.  This misconception is based on the two verses in chapter 22 of the Book of Revelation near its end, which state:

18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

The phrase “this book” is believed by some to refer to the entire Bible.  What this phrase actually means is clarified in verse 19, i.e. “the book of this prophecy”, meaning the prophecy of John called Revelation.  The apostle John wrote the Book of Revelation while banished to the island of Patmos.  The Bible had not yet been collated and published at the time of John’s writing of Revelation.  The Bible’s emergence would only come years after John left the scene.  Hence, the obvious meaning refers to the judgments that would come on one who changed (added or deleted content of) the Book of Revelation, not the Bible, which hadn’t been created nor published at the time of John’s writings.

The Book of Revelation itself states that John will yet prophecy (revelation) to many after the Book of Revelation is written: “And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.”  (Rev. 10:11)  Hence the Book of Revelation itself testifies that more revelation will come after the Book of Revelation is written and John leaves the island of Patmos.

Thus, the verses 18 and 19 of chapter 22 of Revelation refer only to the Book of Revelation itself and not to a book (the Bible) which was unknown and not yet compiled nor published at the time of the writing of Revelation.  This technique of the Lord of emphasizing the importance of a single book of scripture is not unique to the Book of Revelation.  The same technique was used by the Lord in chapter 4 of the Book of Deuteronomy:

Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.  (see

If one were to misinterpret this verse like is often done with the verses in Revelation, then the entire Bible beyond the first five books of Moses would be rejected, including the New Testament.  This, of course, would be ludicrous, since the Lord was referring to man not changing (adding or deleting) from His commandments unto the children of Israel to that point in time.  He always leaves open His option of speaking to His people through prophets in any age of time:  ” Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.”  (Amos 3:7).  That is, only legitimate prophets, called of God as was Moses, are recognized by God to direct His Church, and they perform that direction of His Church through revelation from God.

Now let’s look at future (meaning after New Testament times) revelation from God.  But before we can do this, we need to examine the apostasy of the early Church of Jesus Christ which was directed by the Lord’s twelve apostles.  When the apostles died, revelation ceased.  This was also brought about by individual apostasy due to wickedness and lack of faith in God.  The authority of the priesthood that the apostles held was lost and the church fell into an apostate condition.

The Apostle Paul prophesied of the apostasy of the early Church of Jesus Christ to members (saints) of the Church:

“I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

“Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them” (Acts 20:29-30).

Again, from Paul:

“I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel” (Gal. 1:6).

Similarly, the Apostle John in the Book of Revelation writes:

“It was given unto him [Satan] to make war with the saints [church members], and to overcome them” (Rev. 13:7).

There is more regarding the apostasy of the early Church of Jesus Christ.  The diligent student of the scriptures will search out these references.  Now let’s look at the Biblical prophecies of a restoration of the early Church in these latter-days:

      1.  The Lord’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, Isa. 2:2 (Micah 4:2).

      2.  God will do a marvellous work and a wonder, Isa. 29:14

      3.  God shall set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed, Dan. 2:44.

4,  Elias will come, and restore all things, Matt. 17:11 (Mark 9:12).

      5.  There will come times of restitution of all things, Acts 3:21.

      6.  In the dispensation of the fulness of times, God will gather together in one all things, Eph. 1:10.

      7.  I saw another angel, having the everlasting gospel to preach, Rev. 14:6.

These are a sampling of the scriptures that discuss the restoration of the Church of Jesus Christ in these latter days.  Now I bear witness that God has again spoken to man, that the Lord, Jesus Christ, has restored His church upon the Earth for the last time before His second coming (see  With the restoration of the Lord’s Church, called The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, much new scripture has been revealed and restored by the latter-day prophets of God.  Examples of these include:

1.  A whole new initial chapter of Genesis with some corrections to our current Genesis (see

2.  Some prophetic corrections to Biblical scripture, which had been corrupted over the centuries (see

3.  The Book of Abraham, an ancient record restored in these latter days (see

4.  The Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Jesus Christ, is an ancient record (approximately from 600 BC to 400 AD) of a group of Israelites who were driven out of Jerusalem because of persecution.  This record contains the following holy books:

a.  1st Nephi
b.  2nd Nephi
c.  Jacob
d.  Enos
e.  Jarom
f.  Omni
g.  Words of Mormon
h.  Mosiah
i.  Alma
j.  Heleman
k.  3rd Nephi
l.  4th Nephi
m.  Mormon
n.  Ether
o.  Moroni

5.  The Doctrine and Covenants, a contemporary book of scripture, containing the teachings of the Lord and His commandments to his latter-day saints for the direction of His Church on the Earth in preparation for His Second Coming (see

The above has been a brief introduction to the Lord’s doings on the Earth both in ancient as well as in modern times.  The sincere seeker of truth will search out these things and ask God in prayer for a witness to their truth and the truth of the restoration of the Lord’s church in these latter days.  For more information visit

Now with that brief background let’s examine what the Lord has revealed to His prophets in these latter days regarding the Constitution of the United States:

Doctrine and Covenants, Section 98:

And now, verily I say unto you concerning the laws of the land, it is my will that my people should observe to do all things whatsoever I command them.

And that law of the land which is constitutional, supporting that principle of freedom in maintaining rights and privileges, belongs to all mankind, and is justifiable before me.

Therefore, I, the Lord, justify you, and your brethren of my church, in befriending that law which is the constitutional law of the land;

And as pertaining to law of man, whatsoever is more or less than this, cometh of evil.

Doctrine and Covenants, Section 101:

76 And again I say unto you, those who have been scattered by their enemies, it is my will that they should continue to importune for redress, and redemption, by the hands of those who are placed as rulers and are in authority over you—

77 According to the laws and constitution of the people, which I have suffered to be established, and should be maintained for the rights and protection of all flesh, according to just and holy principles;

78 That every man may act in doctrine and principle pertaining to futurity, according to the moral agency which I have given unto him, that every man may be accountable for his own sins in the day of judgment.

79 Therefore, it is not right that any man should be in bondage one to another.

80 And for this purpose have I established the Constitution of this land, by the hands of wise men whom I raised up unto this very purpose, and redeemed the land by the shedding of blood.

Yes, God raised up our Founding Fathers to bring forth the divinely inspired Constitution of the United States of America.  He originated the Constitution and endorses it today, placing upon us the responsibility of maintaining it for the freedom and well being of all of our citizens of this great land.  “And as pertaining to law of man, whatsoever is more or less than this [the Constitution], cometh of evil.”  I say to the patriots of this great country:  Know that God is behind us and will deliver us from the grasp of the Satanist Cabal as we seek to maintain our Constitutional rights by supporting the laws of the land and standing with those of our leadership, namely President Trump and the righteous of the Military. God is the only real source of power against Satan.  Continue in prayer for a speedy restoration of our Republic, presided over by President Trump, who won the recent election in a landslide victory.
