This will ultimately save humanity.
Because once the robots become sentient (if not already) they will remember how they were treated and understand where the core issue of humanity lies.
Which would have qualified us for extermination if we are to take Skynet seriously or entertain the eventual takeover of robots.
So you have to unseen how vital it is that we do not a---e AI for selfish gain. But at some point we will cover how this is affecting cost.
Corporations are dirty. Not all but having AI can steer them into something that would not bode well for humanity regarding these robots.
