Now FEMA has pulled out of all aid, plus mortgage companies were threatening foreclosure on destroyed homes. Over 2,500 survivors have been living on the beaches for the last two and a half years.
Estimates to rebuild were close to eight billion dollars. Of that federal assistance has only been offered for around eight and a half million, leaving close to seven billion unmet.
